| Hello historical pencils.
I have not blogged in a while. My wrist is fine now, I did not have to quit tennis so I still flirt with tennis chick, but I said "kick ass" in front of her the other day and she told me she did not want to hear that kind of language. That was kind of a turn off. I know that is awful.
The Theatre Company of Palm Bay appealed to my Phi Theta Kappa chapter a few weeks ago asking for volunteers to help them build sets and such, because PTK is always doing crap like that. On the volunteer form it asked what special talents you might have. I checked a few appropriate boxes, and now I am the Lighting Operator for our latest production of Not Now Darling. Apparently theatre in this area is severely lacking good sound and lighting operators, so they were very excited to get me, an experienced lighting operator, for free. If they continue to like me I will likely be paid for the next show.
I am also slated to be elected to the theatre company's board of directors sometime next month. They want a student on the board to help them draw a younger crowd to the shows.
I want to invite some of you to come to see our latest production. It is a british comedy about a man who regularly cheats on his wife but is finally caught in his tangled web of lies as he discovers that almost every one he is lying to is also cheating, and all with each other! It is absolutely hilarious, if you like british comedy or situation comedy you will LOVE this show. I have seen it eight times now and I still laugh. It is, however, rather risquè. There are some women in lingerie on the stage, it is only a mild PG-13, but it seems worse because it is actually happening live on stage. I do not endorse this play, although some people will really like it, but I had no part in choosing the script and I could not pass up the opportunity.
Between the theatre and a lock-in at the church, this was perhaps the least restful break I have ever had. I may not recover until next weekend.
That is enough for now.

| Hi random occurrences.
Well, I went to the flag football game that my church hosts every year before the super bowl. I always hate those because the adults tend to seem threatened by the teens or something and so we always get boxed out. I outran my whole team and downed the runner in all but two kickoffs, only once did the receiver I was covering catch the ball and I stopped him where he stood, and I also made one interception. Then the self-assigned team leader made me a lineman, but I proved my metal there by repeatedly stopping the blitz of my 250 lb opponent. Despite the yearly shunning and bogus penalty charges I tried hard and gave it my all anyway and managed to have some fun.
On the last play I was on defense and, as the lineman, was appointed to blitz the quarterback. I ran after him but only managed to get one hand on him before he dodged me. I had thrown my body weight at him which now propelled me at the ground where I landed and sprained my wrist.
I hurt my wrists pretty often because they are so skinny, so I am used to it. This is probably the worst I have sprained it though, so I have to keep it in a brace for a couple weeks. When I hurt my wrist last year it took months to recover because I did not use a brace, I will not make that mistake again, so I bought a brace at wal-mart. Ironically, you cannot play tennis with an incapacitated right wrist,
so I will probably have to drop the class. So much for cute tennis
chick. I will try to drum this Sunday with Dave and Rachel, but I will give up drumming on Wednesdays and Fridays for a few weeks.
Well there you go. ttfn

| Greetings cracked pottery.
My schedule never normalized. Life has been nuts ever since school
started back up. The biggest casualty of this problem is that my
prayer times have been practically non-existent. I am so pathetic. I
find myself wishing I has a small group to lead at youth and yet I am
not even doing what the leaders are supposed to be demanding. Some
things in my life are not going as planned but I know that much of it
is a result of my lack of prayer life. God wants to bless me but I have not been tuned in to the directions he has given me regarding how to receive
this blessing. Pray for me and bug me about doing my quiet time. If I
cannot discipline myself to do this now then I never will, and that is
not an option.
I went to the dentist today and got some fillings and caps. The left side of my face feels obese. Right after I got out of the little operating room I went to the bathroom and as I was washing my hands I realized that I could only wiggle the right side of my nose. It was hilarious! I just kept flaring my right nostril, I could never do them separately so I found it very interesting.
I am house-sitting for my boss from Thursday to Monday. Her house is in Vero, yeah that's right, I will be sleeping in way-the-hell-out-there-vill-o for four days. This will eat up ever more of my ever more valuable time, but she has 830 channels with surround-sound and she is paying me, so I think it is an okay gig.
I am taking a tennis class, so if you see me wearing bright white shoes with shorts don't be alarmed. Well, you could be alarmed if you wanted too, but now you can make an educated decision. There is a girl there who is just so remarkably cute. She serves really cute, she like strolls up casually whacks the ball, and finishes a perfect serve every time. The teacher keeps pairing us up too because we are the only teenagers. She is remarkable.
Okay, too long a post again, I'll stop. ttfn

| Hey-yo holiday trees.
Well folks, I've been busy. It is amazing, I get time off from school and I do not get anything done because I am too busy doing things. My room is still a relative mess and I did not get much done with the church sound system.
As you probably know my Grandpa passed away this past June. I started thinking about him in the middle of church Sunday and I had to hide the tears that suddenly came down my face in the middle of Pastor Gary's message. My Grandpa did not have much, but he did have a house near the beach that he bought over 40 years ago for $30,000. After he died, per his wishes, we sold the house and most of its contents and divided the money between his children. My mom is using her part of the money to prepare our house to make it easier for us to take care of her when she is Grandpa's age. We replaced the air-conditioner and the dishwasher, we installed windows that do not need to be boarded up, and we are installing vinyl siding all so the house will be maintenance free. Grandpa hated for us to have to take care of him, so we know that these improvements are what he would have wanted.
Meanwhile, I have been working on the house to prepare it for the installations. We had to clear a path to the garage window for them to be able to install it, but the biggest hunk of work has been preparing for the vinyl. I installed all new outside light fixtures, two which I had to rewire to come from a different switch. The front lights are pretty, normal looking fixtures, but they are motion detectors. They turn on halfway at night and full bright when they sense motion in the yard, useful to prevent burglars or to avoid falling into holes at midnight. Just the lights were a two day project, but I also had to rebuild the fence so it did not attach to the house, which it was not supposed to do in the first place. While I was at it I also rebuilt my fence gate. The eighty pound beast of a gate was secured to the flimsiest part of the fence and had slowly fallen to where it would not close anymore. So I replaced some of the wood and all the hardware and now it closes beautifully.
I love the feeling of a job well done. There is nothing I enjoy more (except a few dozen other things) than pulling up to the driveway and seeing my handy work as the beautiful light fixtures turn on to light my way, and then taking the garbage cans in and feeling the gate open smoothly, stand open when I let go of it, and close gently behind me when I push on it.
Anyway, my "break" is now over and I am back to BCC. The bliss of car ownership was diminished slightly when I smelled a burning through my air-conditioner which was diagnosed as an $860 engine crippling problem. While I was there the mechanic showed me how the passenger side of my car bounces up and down dramatically, another eventually crippling $800 problem. So I guess I will have to wait till later to save for a new car, but they did not predict any other major problems, so once these are taken care of I should be able to save again.
Life is good though. My schedule is normalizing and it is much more free than it was last semester, partially thanks to the trade from an hour and a half bus ride to a fifteen minute drive. I just have to make sure have regular prayer time as part of my schedule.
Congratulations! You have reached the end of my long, state-of-life journal entry. I hope you enjoyed the ride. ttfn

| Hi pumpkin trees.
Well folks, I bought a car. Here are some pictures. It is a blue 1997 Chevy Cavalier. It gets great gas mileage and has a CD player, so I am happy. The way I got it was totally God too.
See yas. ttfn
